In case you were wondering how school is going I thought I’d post some of the likes and dislikes for you… just to give you a better idea of what “Nanny School” its actually like.
Annoyances…
1. Crazy teachers who will not give you a 100% no matter how well you do simply because ”there is always room for improvement”
2. Having to pack a lunch every single day
3. Talking about baby food for 2 hours
4. People who talk in class… ALL THE TIME!
3. Stupid questions
4. Andy, Michael, Dwight (No, not from the office ;)
5. Negative people who bring everybody down
6. Teachers who argue everything you say… no matter how right you are!!!
Highlights…
1. Learning about children
2. Meeting new people and making new friends
3. Coloring in class!
4. Playing card games at lunch
5. Family Dynamics class and homework
6. Making a story board of my past, present, and future
7. Getting to see the sunrise on my way to school
8. Reading our Child Development book (its so interesting… no joke!)
9. Being in a place where God can really use me to reach out to the lost
10. Knowing I am where God wants me to be
It has been an interesting transition to say the least. Since I was homeschooled all my life, it was a kinda like a slap in the face to come the the realization that I am likely the only positive representation of Jesus in these people’s lives (yes, you would be very surprised at the… variety people I go to school with). But after the initial shock its been good! Haha, buts seriously, I love learning and I’m trusting that God will use me and give me opportunities to touch the lives of those around me. Yeah, its good stuff!
There you have it. Nanny School in a nutshell!
haha i love you sis :)
this will be a fantastic memoir book someday. just promise me you’ll write it, k?
Hmmmm… I was thinking more along the lines of a reality TV! ;)
Hannah you are a fantastic gift from God! I love you tons!
I ‘m very proud of you!
Bravo!
I wish I could be as positve about school as you are! LOL, and I know that Nanny School is actually a lot more difficult and challenging because of the, how did you put it, “variety of people”. ;) lol!
Great job being a “trooper” and sticking in there. The Reality TV show idea sounds perfect, especially since it already has Dwight and co. You’ll make millions! Just don’t forget us little people!
Have fun and remember to take notes. (we will be expecting many more funny tale from Nanny School)
I HAVE been wanting to know how nanny school was, and now I feel I have a pretty good idea. Yep, there IS such a thing as a stupid question!! :D
I love your writing (style, topics, and perspective), and really enjoyed your princess story. You must enjoy reading.
You’re wonderful, Hannah. G-d is so blessed to have people like you that He can use to represent Him anywhere and everywhere… with children, fellow students, *and* teachers. And the teachers are the same in every school and college. At least you can be assured that we all relate… even when some of us ARE the obnoxious teachers.
Never realized you were homeschooled! You gotta tell my kids… they were too, for most of their lives. Just look how great you guys turn out!
